HELP Cancer Patients - (and a Giveaway)

Not Called Team CAN For Nothin'

Founded as a not for profit charitable organization in 2003, Team Continuum provides immediate, vital, non-medical assistance to cancer patients and their families. What we do is quite simple, but has a direct, profound effect on their lives.

Team Continuum is honored to be an official Charity Partner of the New York Road Runners. With several hundred entries we are among the largest independent teams in the world-class 2010 ING NYC Marathon. Athletes who did not get in via the lottery or did not register at all can secure their entry by joining the team and registering online at Benefits include coaching, race day gear, and a private pre-race pasta party.

Cancer is a disease that can strike each one of us; Young or old, man or woman. I am sure that we all know people who have been infected by cancer disease.
Unfortunately, in the recent years, I have lost relatives and friends because of cancer.
Fortunately though, day by day, the medical world is increasingly close in developing medicines and methods in curing the disease.
However, there are too many people suffering daily. This is the reason of this post.

  1. My thoughts on cancer...I have so many. It has touched quite a few people in my family including my younger cousin who was diagnosed when she was 6. Fortunately she has done quite well and that is in a large part to organizations and teams like this that raise money for cancer and childhood cancers. Great post!

  2. cancer did take my friend's life a few years back :( anyway i really appreciate what the doctors are doing to try and fight it. I hope some day we'll leave in a world that's free of cancer.

Feel free to visit my site, am giving away a free designer's lunch bag. thanks.

  3. My thoughts on cancer is it's a dirty fighter and we need to fight back....

  4. Tweeted your site!

  5. Great cause. my teammate from college (we played volleyball) is dying of brain cancer. She is only 27. it's really sad.

  6. What a great cause. Although no one in my family have been directly affected by cancer, I deal with every day at my job. It's unreal to see how different people deal with it too.

  7. Very honorable of you :) I'll tweet your site as well!

  8. This an awesome cause, several years ago I had a great aunt die of breast cancer, then about 7 years ago, my mother-in-law had breast cancer and won her batter. Last year a cousin lost his battle with liver cancer, he left behind two young children and a very loving wife along with tons of family and friends who miss him dearly.
