Buttercream Chocolate Birthday Cake

Lien Dong's Birthday Cake

This cake was made for Lien's birthday one year ago.  Lien comes from Vietnam and as she told me this was her first birthday cake ever.  On the 27th of August she will celebrate her 23rd birthday.  I am thinking of preparing a summer cake for her this year.  Let's hope that I will manage to make something that she will like too...

This was a plain chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream filling.  I used buttercream for the decoration as well, and some of Wilton's sprinkle decorations.

  1. The blue really looks stunning against the chocolate! Cool that you were the one to create the first birthday cake she ever received. I am sure she will love this one as well as the first. Have a great weekend!
